Web of Kin Launch

Golden shower Tree. This blog is the preliminary iteration of an idea I have been kicking around for a while of providing an online forum for semantic genealogy and other innovative concepts for the future of genealogy. This blog is an extension of wonderful conversations happening elsewhere on the Facebook group Family History Technologies, begun by the admirable Jesse Stay.

Recent announcements, including brightsolid's revelation of subcription service findmypast.com.au, FamilySearch's upcoming RootsTech conference, and others have pushed me off the precipice to venture into the fray of genealogical evolutions and revolutions. I hope this forum with develop with the interests of its readers and writers. Please contact me if you would like to write for Web of Kin at todd.d.robbins at the Google mail.

Let's get busy!

  1. Ted,

I'll be interested in following this blog. One addition to your list of Geography/GIS links:

A feature they provide when you look at a county in the US is to show the state and county boundaries in different colors on the map.
